Drop the receipt. It lands in the right bin.
A photo of a receipt. A screenshot of your bank app. A statement CSV with four hundred lines. Drag it onto Funance and every line finds its entity, its category, and its tax treatment — posted properly, double-entry, no typing.
Anything you’ve got
Receipt photos, bank and card screenshots, exported CSVs. Several at once is fine. No format to match, no template to fill.
Your Claude reads it
Date, merchant, amount, memo — pulled straight off the image or the file, on your own API key, straight from your browser.
Into the right bin
Each line lands on the correct entity and category with its tax treatment attached. Transfers between your own accounts are recognised as transfers — never counted as income.
Only what’s unsure
Confident lines post themselves. Anything ambiguous waits in the Review bin for one click — and your correction becomes a rule, so that merchant never asks again.
It gets faster every week. Funance remembers how you sorted each payee, so month two is mostly watching lines fall into place. — Nothing is uploaded to us. There is no Funance server; the file goes from your browser to your own Claude and back.
You didn’t start this to do data entry.
Bookkeeping isn’t hard — it’s just long. It’s the shoebox, the squinting at faded receipts, the tab-switching, the “which account was this on again.” Funance takes that part. You go do the part only you can do.
- Hunt down receipts across email, glovebox, and camera roll
- Open the bank site, export or squint, copy line by line
- Decide which business each charge belonged to
- Pick a category, then second-guess the category
- Remember which transfers weren’t income
- Rebuild the same summary your CPA asked for last quarter
- Drop the receipt — photo, screenshot, or a whole CSV
- Or just say it: “log $240 to the studio for the print run”
- Glance at the Review bin. Click. Done.
- That’s the month. The reports were building themselves the whole time
We’re not going to quote you a number of hours saved — nobody’s books look the same, and made-up statistics are how software lies. Do your own math instead: count the minutes you spent on the left column last month, and know that the right column is a drop and a glance. Five free minutes with every room is long enough to find out — and the end of the five is the one thing a demo cannot show you, which is the only reason we offer it.
